From concept to series production
Complex components and assemblies often involve requirements that cannot be reliably met using standard processes. In such cases, we work closely with our customers to develop customized manufacturing technologies and qualify them for cost-effective and reproducible series production.
Our focus is on developing robust manufacturing processes. From feasibility analysis and process development through to series approval, we support our customers as a technology development partner.

Driving Innovation in Precision Manufacturing – Our Visit to DMG MORI Technology Friday in Japan
On April 3rd, we participated in DMG MORI Japan’s Technology Friday in Iga, Japan—marking the first time the event welcomed a German guest.
Accompanied by Steffen Scheidmantel (first from right in the picture) from DMG MORI Pfronten GmbH, we received a warm welcome on site at Iga Campus from Satoshi H., Ichiro Murata (first from left) and Akina Konishi (second from left). Represented by Lynn Gottschling (in the middle) and Christian Huber (second from right), we contributed a technical presentation focusing on large-scale precision components, their automation, and key development topics such as force-controlled friction stir welding and deep hole drilling on 5-axis machining centers.
In the field of large component manufacturing, we position ourselves as a driver of automation. A central element of our presentation highlighted the broad range of applications and the clear benefits automation offers—particularly in achieving tight tolerances, repeatability, and process stability for complex components.
Another key focus was our joint development work in friction stir welding. Mr. Murata emphasized the growing customer interest in this technology within the Japanese market. Together with DMG MORI, we are developing a force-controlled friction stir welding cycle that enables machining and welding in a single setup—without compromising weld quality. This approach ensures consistent material plasticization at the weld root, providing a significant advantage in the production of high-precision, complex series components.
The event also featured a panel discussion addressing current challenges in automation, evolving industry requirements, and how collaborative development can help meet these demands while identifying future opportunities for innovation.
The day concluded with a tour of the impressive DMG MORI production facility in Iga.
